Pence Speaks to American Conservative Union

"CLEVELAND – In a warm-up for his vice presidential nomination speech, Indiana Gov. Michael
Pence told a friendly crowd at the American Conservative Union Foundation Tuesday how his life had changed since becoming the presumptive GOP nominee.
Invoking his first favorite Republican – Ronald Reagan – before turning to his newest favorite – Donald TrumpPence said Reagan used to talk about speeding along in a motorcade and wishing he could reach out and touch the people waiving alongside the road.
Pence said Reagan had extraordinary humility and an “unshakable faith in the capacity of the American people to achieve greatness and astound the world.”
I hear it and I see it in the man I think will be the next president of the United States,” he said of Trump.
He got the strongest audience reaction comparing Trump to the Democratic opposition.
Pence said President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, have “weakened America’s place in the world and stifled the nation’s economy.”
We must decide here and now that Hillary Clinton will never become president of the United States of America,” he said to sustained applause." IndianapolisStar
