Lindsay Graham on Immigration

"The South Carolina senator, whose message is mostly about a strong defense and aggressive fight
against terrorism, also talks about immigration. He favors an eventual path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who meet a series of conditions from paying back taxes to learning English to passing background checks.
That position is unpopular on the right, but he defends it on both policy and political grounds.
We’re down to 27 percent of the Hispanic vote in this country. We’ve gone from 44 percent to 27 percent,” he told Republicans. “There’s no room I can’t go into as a candidate and look at any member of Hispanic community in the eye” and talk about his efforts to “solve a hard problem like immigration.”" MilwaukeeJournalSentinel
