Glenn Beck Prediction: 50% will leve Churches IF.......

"Glenn has a pretty clear stance on gay marriage: if it neither picks his pocket or breaks his leg, it
doesn’t matter to him if gay marriage is legal or not. He simply doesn’t believe people of faith and churches should be forced to support it if they don’t believe it.

But with gay marriage now before the Supreme Court, he predicts that a ruling in favor of gay marriage could drastically change churches across the country. “Hear’s my prediction: If gay marriage goes through the Supreme Court and gay marriage becomes fine and they can put teeth in it – so now they can go after the churches, like the president’s lawyer says – 50% of our churches will fall away. Meaning the congregations, within five years, 50% of the congregants will fall away from their church. Because they won’t be able to take the persecution,” Glenn said. Persecution is coming. If this goes through, persecution is coming,” he said.

Glenn and Stu pointed listeners to the story of the Oregon bakery that now has to pay hefty fines of $135,000 to a lesbian couple after the owners refused bake them a wedding cake." GlennBeck

Clinton's Indian Scandal

"Hillary Clinton changed her position on a 2008 nuclear agreement between the United States and India after Indian business and government interests flooded various Clinton enterprises with cash, a highly anticipated new book alleges in a chapter obtained by POLITICO.

The book — “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Help Make Bill and Hillary Rich” — has become a major point of contention as Clinton kicks off her 2016 bid for the White House. She addressed the controversy surrounding it at a campaign stop in New Hampshire earlier this month, calling it one of many “distractions and attacks,...”

The newly obtained chapter, titled “Indian Nukes: How to Win a Medal by Changing Hillary’s Mind,”

details a series of donations and overtures from Indians who supported the nuclear deal to the Clintons, and points to one case of an Indian-American Clinton donor — who in April 2014 pleaded guilty in an illegal contribution scheme for Clinton’s 2008 run — receiving an award from the Indian government for his work in securing the agreement.

Implying that a group of influential Indians directed money and attention to the Clintons in order to get them to support the nuclear deal, the book details the activities of Sant Chatwal, the New York hotelier who in December was sentenced to three years probation for his campaign finance violations.
Chatwal allegedly helped arrange one of Bill Clinton’s most lucrative public speeches — a $450,000 affair in London — and once said, “Even my close friend Hillary Clinton was not in favor of the deal [in 2006] … But when I put the whole package together, she also came on board. … In politics nothing comes free. You have to write cheques in the American political system.”" DailyCaller

Protesters clash with Police in Philedelphia

Philadelphia

"A protest started Thursday afternoon in front of city hall. Aerial video showed several hundred people gathered. As the crowd swelled, it moved toward Rittenhouse Square.
Police and protesters clashed about 7:45 p.m., apparently when the group tried to block the entrance to I-95. CNN's Poppy Harlow reported police had said they would move against anybody who tried to do that.
Aerial video showed uniformed officers grouping to push back demonstrators, many who held their hands in the air and chanted, "Hands up."

According to tweets from CNN's Lawrence Crook, protesters sat down in the middle of Broad Street, blocking traffic. Some protesters were arrested. Later the crowd marched to the federal prison building and chanted, "You are not alone."
Harlow said inmates in the prison flicked their lights on and off in recognition." CNN

Larry & Bernie Sanders

"Larry Sanders, Brother of Bernie Sanders, is a Green Party Nominee for British House of Commons.
Larry Sanders's race ends May 7, when the U.K. holds its national elections. He was nominated by the Green Party in Oxford West and Abingdon in October 2014 to take on incumbent Nicola Claire Blackwood of the ruling Conservative Party. He has lived in Oxford since 1969 and has been involved in Green Party politics for 15 years.
Larry's chances of winning are admittedly about the same as Bernie's odds of becoming president. Online polling from YouGov puts his expected vote share at 5.1 percent, according to FiveThirtyEight. A former private pollster to U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron found only 4 percent of Oxford West and Abingdon voters in September said they'd vote for the Greens. The American Sanders has similarly averaged 4.2 percent in national polls of the Democratic primaries this year, according to an analysis by National Journal." NationalJournal

Hillary Speech on Race Riots

"There’s plenty to quibble with in Hillary Clinton’s speech on mass incarceration and criminal
justice reform, which she gave on Wednesday at Columbia University. She doesn’t make mention of the 1994 crime bill, signed by her husband, which pushed states to build—and fill—more prisons with more offenders. She treats mass incarceration as a function of nonviolent crime, when the truth is more difficult. Half of the people in state prisons are there for violent crimes, and many nonviolent offenders have violent histories. To reduce incarceration, we need to rethink punishment for violent offenders, too. There, Clinton is silent.
Clinton is clearly giving thought to how we restructure policing and punishment. In the speech, she promises to make sure that “federal funds for state and local law enforcement are used to bolster best practices, rather than to buy weapons of war that have no place on our streets.” She calls for body cameras on all police—a major goal of the “Black Lives Matter” Slate

Oklahoma leads Rebellion against Obama's EPA

"Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R) and the state Legislature are taking a stand against Obama administration climate rules.
Fallin signed an executive order this week saying her state will not comply with a proposed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rule setting targets for carbon emission reduction at power plants. Republicans have said the plan is an unfair expansion of executive power.
Fallin's order prohibits the state's Department of Environmental Quality from writing a strategy to reduce carbon emissions under the Clean Power Plan.

It directs the state's attorney general, himself an opponent of the plan, to analyze the legality of the climate rule and "take such action as is necessary to enforce the rights of the state of Oklahoma and its citizens from such federal actions as may impact the freedoms of its people."
"As Governor, I will not submit [a plan] to ensure Oklahoma's compliance with such a clear overreach of executive authority," Fallin's order said." TheHill

Black Panthers Declare War on America

"This Week on the New Black Panther Party’s “Black Power Radio,” national chairman Hashim Nzinga said since America has “declared war on us,” evidenced by “military police in the black neighborhood” protecting the rich, the New Black Panthers should be looked upon as Founding Fathers who declare war and are “willing to die or kill to save our babies and to save a black nation that is dying before our eyes.”
Nzinga said, “America is about protecting the rich and the powerful.”
He added, “We pay taxes. They have declared war on us and it’s nothing but state racism.”
So if we say we are at war, we should be applauded like George Washington,” Nzinga continued. “We should be applauded like Thomas Jefferson. We should be applauded like the Founding Fathers of the country.” Breitbart

Sanders in!!!

"Independent U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a self-described socialist and one of the most
outspoken liberals in Congress, will seek the 2016 Democratic nomination for president, he told U.S. media on Wednesday.
"I believe (voters) want a fundamental change so that government works for ordinary Americans and not just billionaires," Sanders told USA Today. He said he would make the announcement official on Thursday.
Sanders also told the Associated Press in an interview he was running for president." CharismaNews

Cruz holds Obama accountable for race relations

"Presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday said that President Obama has “inflamed racial tensions” while in office, calling his leadership “disappointing.”
He’s made decisions that I think have inflamed racial tensions, that have divided us, rather than bringing us together,” Cruz said.
He has exacerbated racial misunderstanding, racial tensions. From back at the beer summit to a series of efforts to pit Americans against each other,” Cruz said." TheHill

Nevada trying to stop Rand Paul?

"A couple years ago, Nevada seemed to be Rand Paul's ace in the hole in the 2016 presidential race. That's looking less and less likely now.

For two reasons: First, the Ron Paul supporters who basically took over the state party in 2012 have largely been replaced, and now, the state GOP is moving toward replacing the Paul-friendly caucus process with a regular primary.

1) Caucuses favor underdogs

Caucuses favor candidates with more devoted supporters and tend to draw from a smaller pool of voters, allowing for someone with more of a niche base to be more competitive.

The most obvious example here is, of course, Ron Paul, Rand's father. In the 2012 campaign, Ron Paul averaged 12 percent of the vote in primary states. In caucus states, it was about double that: 23 percent.

And it wasn't just Ron Paul. Rick Santorum, whose broader appeal in 2012 was certainly limited, put himself on the map with what was belatedly determined to be a win in the Iowa caucuses and then shockingly big victories in Colorado and Minnesota caucuses in early February. And back in 2008, it was Mitt Romney's underdog campaign and Barack Obama's team excelled in caucus settings. (Hillary Clinton actually won more votes in the nominating process but lost because of the caucuses.)

Which brings us to...

2) Nevada is a good state for the Pauls

Nevada has a libertarian reputation.

Ron Paul finished third in Nevada in 2012, at 19 percent. It wasn't quite one of his best states, but that had more to do with the field than with Ron Paul. Namely: There was a Mormon candidate, Mitt Romney, and Mormons have big pull in Nevada caucuses. About one-quarter of GOP caucus-goers in 2012 were Mormon, in fact, and Romney won about nine out of 10 Mormon votes

.
3) More casual voters might have an obvious pick

There's no Romney, but come 2016, it's not hard to see someone like Marco Rubio doing well in Nevada. After all, he used to live in the state (he was also a Mormon as a young man) and is Hispanic.

As mentioned above, Mormons are about one-quarter of the caucus process, and Latinos were about one in 10 voters. That might not sound like a lot, but that's a significant base of support Rubio could tap if he can get either or both to coalesce around him.

4) Nevada is an early state

Because Nevada didn't really matter in the 2008 and 2012 nominating contests (by virtue of Romney's dominance), some underestimate its importance. But it's one of the first four states, and we would argue that if such a caucus/primary change were taking place in New Hampshire or South Carolina, you can bet we'd be talking about it more than this.

Yes, it's fourth out of four, but the race is still very likely to be competitive at that point -- meaning to the extent that a primary hurts Paul, it hurts him in a key state that will help winnow the field of candidates in the first month." WashingtonPost

Bush on Immigration

"Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush declared Wednesday that 11 million immigrants in the country illegally should have an opportunity to stay, wading yet again into his party's contentious immigrant debate.
In tone and substance, Bush stands out among the many Republicans lining up for the GOP's next presidential primary, where conservatives who oppose an immigration overhaul often hold outsized influence. As he moves toward a presidential campaign, the brother and son of former presidents has not backed away from his defense of immigrants in the country illegally and a policy that would allow them to attain legal status under certain conditions." yahoo

Walker's Donors

"Roughly half of the nation’s top 250 Republican donors have given money to Mr. Walker in his
campaigns for Wisconsin governor, according to an Upshot analysis of Federal Election Commission records and state records. By comparison, 30 percent have given to Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, 20 percent to Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and 10 percent to Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey.
A presidential campaign is a chance for candidates to introduce themselves to top fund-raisers, and it’s possible that another candidate will become the favorite of donors. But the data underscores the reason that Mr. Walker appears at this early stage to be in the strongest position of any candidate other than Mr. Bush.

‘We will not obey’: Christian leaders threaten civil disobedience if Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage

We will not obey.”
That’s the blunt warning a group of prominent religious leaders is sending to the Supreme Court of the United States as they consider same-sex marriage.
We respectfully warn the Supreme Court not to cross that line,” read a document titled, Pledge in Solidarity to Defend Marriage. “We stand united together in defense of marriage. Make no mistake about our resolve.”

While there are many things we can endure, redefining marriage is so fundamental to the natural order and the common good that this is the line we must draw and one we cannot and will not cross,” the pledge states.
The signees are a who’s who of religious leaders including former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, National Religious Broadcasters president Jerry Johnson, Pastor John Hagee, and Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse.

The pledge was co-drafted by Deacon Keith Fournier, a Catholic deacon, and Mat Staver, the founder of Liberty Counsel. Also involved in the document were Rick Scarborough, the president of Vision America Action and James Dobson, the founder of Family Talk Radio.
We’re sending a warning to the Supreme Court and frankly any court that crosses the line on the issue of marriage,” Staver told me.

He said that once same-sex marriage is elevated to the level of protected status – it will transform the face of society and will result in the “beginning of the end of Western Civilization.”
You are essentially saying that boys and girls don’t need moms and dads – that moms and dads are irrelevant,” Staver said. “Gender becomes pointless when government adopts same-sex marriage. It creates a genderless relationship out of a very gender-specific relationship. It says that it doesn’t matter and that two moms or two dads are absolutely equivalent to a mom and a dad.” FOX

Gay Marriage Poll

"Fifty percent think that the Supreme Court should rule that same-sex marriage must be legal
throughout the country, while 48 percent think it should not, according to a new AP-Gfk poll.
A small majority, 52 percent, said businesses that offer wedding related services should be able to refuse service on same-sex couples of religious grounds. Forty-five percent said that they should not be allowed to refuse service.
The findings come one day after the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a group of cases that could allow the court to rule that bans on same-sex marriage are unconstitutional. They also come amid an ongoing debate over "religious liberty" laws..." TheHill

Economic Collapse due to goverment policies coming?

It’s one of the scariest moments in our history,” warns Ronald Reagan’s former Budget Advisor, David Stockman, during a recent video interview that tackles concerns over the future of America’s economy.

“The only way to correct this is to let this bubble burst” adds Harry Dent, the famed Harvard economist.

Not missing a beat, Stockman adds, “No central bank has ever printed this much money this long, kept interest rates at zero, and fueled so much speculation . . . they’ve painted themselves in a corner, they’re playing it day by day, and they’re going to make a HUGE mistake!”
Stockman’s controversial statement is causing an uproar from Wall Street and politicians on both sides of the aisle.

Convinced that the entire “economic recovery” is fake . . . that it has merely been propped up by reckless money printing, interest rate cuts, and bailouts for Wall Street . . . Stockman is urging average Americans to prepare for an unstoppable economic collapse.

Stockman is calling the crisis “Sundown in America” as a contrast to the “Sunrise in America” that he and President Reagan built from 1981-1984." Economy&MarketsDaily

Carson on the Baltimore Riots

"Ben Carson, a former neurosurgeon and possible 2016 GOP presidential candidate, is questioning the rationale of Baltimore rioters after violence and looting swept the city.
We need to get to the bottom of any problems of discrimination. But the larger issue here is, how do you react when something is wrong?” he asked during an interview with GQ magazine.
If you have an unpleasant experience with a plumber, do you go out and declare a war on all plumbers? Or teachers or doctors? Of course not. And it makes no sense to do that with police either.” TheHill

de Blasio in Wisonsin...Is he running?

"New York Mayor Bill de Blasio attracted the biggest crowd to Wisconsin Democrats’ annual dinner
on Saturday since Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama attended seven years ago. The foray to the home state of expected Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker shows de Blasio’s determination to affect the 2016 election.
I’m certainly going to be doing this with some regularity,” de Blasio said after getting a standing ovation for his speech in Milwaukee.
The 53-year-old mayor has in recent weeks ventured from the most populous U.S. city into the Midwest to inveigh against tax breaks for corporations, attacks on unions and income inequality."

7th Day Adventist Carson Disinvited by Baptists

"Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon turned pundit, has backed out of plans to speak at a major
gathering of evangelical pastors this summer.
Carson, who will likely run for president, had been scheduled to appear in June at the annual Southern Baptist Pastors Conference in Columbus, Ohio.
But a group of young ministers, known as Baptist21, raised concerns this week about his appearance.
The mostly Calvinist preachers objected to the beliefs of Carson’s booming Seventh-day Adventist Church—including the claim that worshiping on Sunday is sin and the idea that sinners who are barred from heaven will be annihilated rather than sent to hell." ChristianityToday

Rumors of Warren still abound...

"For months, I’ve heard rumors that Elizabeth Warren wants to take on Hillary Clinton for the
Democratic presidential nomination. The rumors are plausible. Warren is 66 years old. It’s probably now or never, if she wants to become president. And why would we doubt that Warren wants to become president?
On the other hand, running for president against the Clinton machine takes guts.
John Fund reports that at Saturday’s White House correspondent’s dinner, he heard serious rumblings of discontent about Clinton from Democratic operatives and expressions of doubt about her strength as a candidate from reporters.
But, as Fund points out, a recent Quinnipiac poll found that 54 percent of Americans say Clinton is not honest or trustworthy, and among independents the number was 61 percent. As I understand it, moreover, the poll was taken before Peter Schweizer’s “Clinton cash” allegations became public."

"BALTIMORE — Gov. Larry Hogan activated the National Guard on Monday and the city of Baltimore announced a curfew for all residents as a turbulent day that began with the funeral of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, the nation’s latest symbol of police brutality, ended with rioting by rock-throwing youths, widespread looting and at least 15 police officers injured.
The violence that shook the city broke out in the late afternoon in the Mondawmin neighborhood of northwest Baltimore, home to the New Shiloh Baptist Church, where more than 2,000 people — politicians, activists, White House officials and civil rights activists including the Rev. Will Franklin Graham endorse Jindal?

Cruz Warns of Liberal Facism

There is a liberal fascism that is going after Christian believers,” the 2016 GOP presidential candidate continued.
It is heartbreaking,” Cruz argued. “But it is so extreme, it is waking people up.”

Cruz said same-sex marriage had produced rabid zealotry in Democratic ranks. This ideology, he argued, was excluding people of faith.
Today’s Democratic Party has become so radicalized for legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states that there is no longer any room for religious liberty,” he said." TheHill

"Clinton Cash" SCANDAL covered by "mainstream" press

"I got a g-chat from a Democratic strategist: "This is a big
deal," he wrote. "My gut tells me it elevates this story to something bigger and more needing of her response. I think this might take away the chance of this ordeal being seen as a partisan witch hunt."
The story in question is, of course, the revelation that Clinton Foundation donations and Clinton family speaking fees may have influenced Hillary Clinton's actions as Secretary of State -- which, if true, would be an extraordinary conflict of interest. In the last 24 hours, The New York Times, POLITICO, The Washington Post, Reuters, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal have all published reports on such possible connections, based off the forthcoming book by conservative author Peter Schweizer, “Clinton Cash."
Just yesterday, The New Yorker's John Cassidy argued that the "Clinton Cash attacks could end up aiding Hillary," because it would enable her campaign to dismiss the book as partisan. Indeed, Clinton and her team have been doing just that. "We are back into the political season and there are all kinds of distractions and attacks," the candidate said on Wednesday. Meanwhile, her press secretary Brian Fallon has been writing internal memos and public posts dismissing the whole thing as an agenda-driven smear campaign."
The fact that Schweizer's revelations have now been vetted and reported out by the likes of the Times, POLITICO, etc., means the Clinton campaign can no longer be so dismissive." Politico

Walker Losing Support of Koch Brothers?

"According to a number of well-respected journalists, the Koch brothers are putting their heft and
muscle behind Scott Walker for president. Or maybe not. It depends on whom you ask.
So when the news hit that David Koch had told a gathering at a Manhattan fundraiser that the nominee should be Scott Walker, it was as if there was nothing left to talk about. The deciders had decided.
But then something kind of funny happened. Walker’s recently terminated spokesperson sent out a series of notable tweets:
Internal polling must be looking dubious, showing attrition to more grassroots-conservative-preferred candidates for him to try this one.
— Liz Mair (@LizMair) April 20, 2015

David Koch then made a statement walking back this apparent endorsement:
While I think Governor Walker is terrific, let me be clear, I am not endorsing or supporting any candidate for President at this point in time." Salon

Hillary's Slush Fund: The CLINTON FOUNDATION

"Here are some of the stories that have broken just over the last day related to Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

Among the biggest bombshells is this report from The New York Times, “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation as Russians Pressed for Control of Uranium Company.”

Russia's atomic energy agency started buying control of a Canadian uranium production company, Uranium One. This is a deal that had to be approved by U.S. agencies, including the State Department, because uranium is a strategic national security asset. Hillary Clinton happened to be the head of the State Department at the time when this was approved.

But at the same time that the Russians were buying these Canadian uranium assets, the chairman of the company made several undisclosed donations to the Clinton Foundation, totaling $2.35 million.

Furthermore, “shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”

The Wall Street Journal also has that report and more from Peter Schweizer's forthcoming book, “Clinton Cash.” For example, an Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien was awarded the contract for USAID to provide mobile phone service in Haiti after the earthquake. It also just so happens that O'Brien has donated millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation since its launch.

Another report from The Intercept outlines how the government of Morocco went to great lengths to court Hillary Clinton during her time as Secretary of State. Remember that the Clinton Foundation has accepted $1 million from a company, which is controlled by the King of Morocco, and they are holding a foundation event there in May.

The Washington Examiner has done an analysis which shows that many corporations that donated to the Clinton Foundation just so happened to win prestigious State Department awards while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

And to top things off, Reuters reports that the Clinton Foundation will refile as many as five annual tax returns. This because investigations by Reuters reveal errors in reported donations from foreign governments. According to the report, “The charities' errors generally take the form of under-reporting or over-reporting, by millions of dollars, donations from foreign governments, or in other instances omitting to break out government donations entirely when reporting revenue.” For example, from 2010-2012, the Clinton Foundation reported that it is did not receive any money from foreign and U.S. governments. That was simply not the case."

Common Core: Bush's achille's heel?

"Nine in 10 Republican insiders from the early states think former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s support for Common Core hurts his presidential prospects, but only a small minority believes that his backing of the education standards will prove fatal.
The POLITICO Caucus, our weekly bipartisan survey of the most important activists, operatives and elected officials in Iowa and New Hampshire, asked participants to rank on a scale of zero to 10 how politically problematic it is for a GOP presidential candidate to back Common Core in their state —
with zero being totally inconsequential and 10 being disqualifying. The average response was a 6.
This is the number-one issue Bush faces in Iowa with caucusgoers,” said a top Iowa Republican, who — like all 81 respondents — completed the questionnaire anonymously in order to speak candidly.
Right now, it’s a big issue among suburban GOP women,” added a New Hampshire Republican, “which is a demographic that is central to him winning New Hampshire.”
Common Core has plummeted in popularity over the last two years, especially among Republicans. The math and English Language Arts standards originally grew out of the bipartisan National Governors Association, but they’re now known by many conservative activists as “ObamaCore.”
The GOP-controlled state legislature in New Hampshire just passed a bill allowing school districts to opt out of Common Core.
Bush, who cultivated a brand as an education-focused governor in Florida, has refused to back down from his support. Only a few months ago he mocked the program’s conservative critics and called the debate “troubling.” As he’s recognized the issue’s toxicity, he’s toned down his rhetoric and now stresses that he opposes federal curriculum mandates.
But, crucially, the people who are angriest about this are the least likely to vote for Bush anyway.
For their part, Republican governors like Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal and Scott Walker have all backed away from the standards after implementing them in their states. Rick Perry, one of the few governors to oppose them from the beginning, calls it “every bit as problematic as Obamacare.” Ted Cruz promises to “repeal every word” if elected. Jindal brags that he’s suing the federal government to block it." Politico

Huckabee's WARNING about Christianity

"Former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-Ark.) on Thursday warned that the push to legalize same-sex
marriage could make practicing Christianity a criminal offense.
I think it’s fair to say that Christian convictions are under attack as never before,” Huckabee said during a conference call with pastors, Politico reported. “Not just in our lifetime, but ever before in the history of this great nation.
“We are moving rapidly toward the criminalization of Christianity," he added.
Huckabee’s remarks come as he weighs a 2016 White House run.
He criticized his side of the political spectrum on Thursday for failing to defend religious liberty.

Romney hits Hillary over Uranium Deal

I presume we might know for sure whether there was or was not bribery if she hadn’t wiped out thousands of emails,” Mr. Romney told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. “But this is a very, very serious series of facts, and it looks like bribery.”
The New York Times reported this week that the Clinton Foundation accepted $2.35 million from a businessman involved in a Russian uranium deal that got approval from the U.S. State Department — contributions not disclosed despite a memorandum of understanding with the Obama administration."

Fiorina might not be a household name like Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, or as known to Iowans as former caucus winners Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum are, but that didn’t stop 70 locals from turning out to see her.
Fiorina began her remarks by saying that she couldn’t confirm the Wall Street Journal story from earlier in the day that said she would be launching her campaign on May 4th. She did, however, say that when a man approached her in the airport on her way to Iowa earlier in the week and asked if she was still 60/40 in her decision to run for president, she replied, “The probability is more like 98 to 2.”
Fiorina’s remarks were centered on leadership and citizenship. During her remarks, she stated, “Leadership is different than management. Leaders change the order of things for the better.” She also added that the highest priority for a leader is to unlock potential in others. Underlying her remarks was the idea that leadership is sorely missing in Washington.
While traveling the country, Fiorina said that she gets the sense that people are afraid that we as Americans are losing something. Fiorina believes that what’s being lost is the limitless possibilities that Americans are used to having. “When we lose that, we are losing the core of what we are,” Fiorina added. “The root cause of this is that the weight and cost of our government is crushing the people’s potential.”" TheIowaRepublican

Clinton Supports Obama EPA Execitive Orders

"Clinton reiterated her support for President Obama’s executive actions on carbon emissions, and
suggested she might be open to more.

I give Obama and the EPA enormous credit for going as far as he can go as a president using executive and regulatory action,” she said, according to pool reporter Annie Karni of Politico. “We have to actually convince more Americans that this is in their interest. You know, whatever it takes. I happen to think it’s a real threat. I think the science is pretty clear. The deniers, Lord knows, some day people are going to read about them and wonder, who were these people? And how did they say this?”

Rubio moves to top of G.O.P. field

"Mr. Rubio announced his candidacy earlier this month and has shot to the top of the GOP field nationally, garnering 15 percent of support among likely GOP primary voters — up from just 5 percent support a month ago. He has surmounted Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who was first in the March poll but who slipped to third place in this survey. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, meanwhile, remains in second place, with 13 percent of GOP support." Yahoo

G.O.P. closes gap with Hillary

"Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement, “This is the
kind of survey that shoots adrenalin into a campaign.  Marco Rubio gets strong enough numbers and favorability ratings to look like a legit threat to Hillary Clinton.”
Indeed, in a hypothetical general election matchup, Clinton gets 45 percent of likely voters to 43 percent for Rubio.  She leads other top Republicans as follows:
  • 45 – 40 percent over New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
  • 46 – 42 percent over Rand Paul
  • 47 – 42 percent over former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee;
  • 46 – 39 percent over Jeb Bush;
  • 46 – 41 percent over Scott Walker;
  • 48 – 41 percent over Ted Cruz." Yahoo

Fiorina Fingernail Polish

"Carly Fiorina says if she runs for president, she’ll take identity politics away from Hillary Clinton.

It was hard to tell who was more taken aback, former CEO Carly Fiorina, or the reporters assembled to question her, when one of them prefaced his question with the comment, “I’ve never met a presidential candidate who had fingernail polish on.” Without missing a beat, Fiorina said, “Well, there’s always a first.”
The remark, retro as it was, served to elicit an interesting response as Fiorina mused about what it would be like if Hillary Clinton were to face a female nominee." DrudgeReport

Walker triggers media meltdown fenzy

"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Monday immigration policy should be American-worker
centered, apparently striking a nerve with the liberal media, who called it extreme and used tweets from a disgruntled former employee to criticize the move.
The Washington Post, MSNBC, and Huffington Post said the stance is a dumb move politically, because only a small number of right-wing extremists question the economic value of legal immigration." LauraIngram
