Hillary coins phrase "Alt-Right" as she goes after Alex Jones
"Hillary Clinton claimed that Donald Trump was embracing “dark conspiracy theories” before
going on a conspiracy theory-obsessed rant in which she attacked Alex Jones and claimed that Vladimir Putin was the villainous mastermind behind the ‘Alt-Right’ movement.
The speech in Reno was billed as Hillary’s moment to demonize Trump by equating him with racist, white supremacist conspiracy theorists, but she ended up weaving a giant fairytale of her own, reinvoking the vast “right wing conspiracy” that she has been ridiculed for hammering on in the past.
Except this time it’s former KGB agent and Russian President Vladimir Putin who is somehow the evil genius secretly controlling Infowars, Breitbart, Nigel Farage and the entire Alt-Right. Hillary said Putin is, “The godfather of this global brand of extreme nationalism.” IW

Donald Trump almost missed the ballot in Minnesota
"Here's what happened:
On Thursday evening, former state GOP official Michael Brodkorb got a call that Trump's name wasn't on Minnesota's sample ballot.
It was four days before the deadline, and the presidential candidates for the Legal Marijuana Now and American Delta parties were on there. So was Hillary Clinton and the Green Party and Libertarian Party candidates. Even Evan McMullin, a long-shot independent conservative running as the anti-Trump, had made it onto the ballot. But not Trump.
It turns out Minnesota Republicans skipped over one rather banal but important step: electing alternates for the electoral college. Minnesota Republicans elected their members to the electoral college — the people who actually cast the ballot for president and vice president — at their state convention in May. But apparently they forgot to elect alternates for those electors, a necessary step in Minnesota to certify your party gets on the ballot." msn

Clinton ad ties Trump to KKK
"A video released Thursday by Hillary Clinton’s campaign makes the case that Donald Trump is the candidate of racists, white supremacists and neo-Nazis.“The reason a lot of Klan members like Donald Trump is because a lot of what he believes, we believe in,” a robed man identified as the Imperial Wizard of the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan says at the top of the video, followed by images of a Confederate flag fluttering in the wind, Trump waving after a speech, and a man performing a Hitler salute at what appears to be a Trump rally." Coulter turns on Trump
"Ann Coulter thinks it’s a “mistake” for Donald Trump to soften his stance on immigration.
Coulter has been one of Trump’s most fervent supporters, particularly for his strident stance on immigration. She said his recent indications that he could moderate on the issue sounded to her like “tired talking points.” mediaite

U.S. Pacifist Party runs Brad Lyttle (again)
"An Interview with Bradford Lyttle of the U.S. Pacifist Party
The platform of the Pacifist Party includes statements on issues of environmentalism and equality in addition to nonviolence. How does the Pacifist Party make decisions about whether to support principles other than pacifism?
In theory, the United States Pacifist Party determines its platform by means of the democratic process, that involves conferences, conventions, etc. In practice, there have been so few people active in the party that policies have tended to be produced by face-to-face conversations, emails, and letters between a few individuals. If more people become active in the party, more conventional democratic process will tend to be used. Since some of the people interested in the party are Quakers, the party probably will always try to develop policies through consensus rather than majority vote." IT
